About Dan
Representative Dan Woog has built a record of public service at both the state and local levels. He has served in the Colorado House of Representatives from 2021–2022 and again from 2025 to the present. He also served two terms as a Trustee for the Town of Erie from 2013–2020.
As a Republican State Representative, Dan has served on the Energy & Environment Committee as Ranking Member, the Health & Human Services Committee, and Ranking Member of the State, Civic, Military, & Veterans Affairs Committee. Before serving in elected office, he contributed to his community as a Planning & Zoning Commissioner and a member of the Economic Development Council Board. Dan currently serves as President of the Aspen Ridge School Building Corporation, continuing his commitment to strengthening local communities and public institutions.
From a young age, Dan was inspired by his entrepreneurial father. Although he lost his father at an early age, he remains influenced by the example of a man who was innovative, compassionate, and hardworking. His father's business was dedicated to improving the health and well-being of its customers, and that commitment to helping others continues to inspire and motivate Dan today.
As a father and small business owner, Dan draws on his personal and professional experiences to better understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing House District 19. Raising two young children has strengthened his commitment to building a better future for the next generation.
Throughout his service in Colorado government, Dan has worked to advance practical legislation that supports schools, improves transportation, and addresses the needs of local communities. He has built a reputation for working across party lines to find common-sense solutions, particularly when it comes to lowering taxes, enhancing public safety, protecting Colorado families, and supporting law enforcement.
Beyond his legislative accomplishments, Dan is known for his integrity, empathy, and approachable leadership. He listens to his constituents, values their input, and works to ensure their voices are reflected in the policies he champions. Dan believes in the power of engaged citizens and strong communities to create positive change and shape a better future for Colorado.
